We will have ALL regularly scheduled morning services on Sunday, September 5. There will be NO evening activities. The church office will be closed on Monday, September 6.
Open Door Pregnancy Center is rejoicing today! We have officially purchased a building, a "helping place", for the women in our area who find they are in an unplanned pregnancy. The building/house is at 1802 Meadowbrook Dr., Springfield. Turn on the street between Rite Aid Pharmacy and the old Ponderosa. Meadowbrook is the little short street behind the pharmacy that was closed off by a wood fence.
We're so excited to get started on the renovations. Our new director, Shawn Elmore, has been busy measuring and planning and there is much to be done before opening day. We need folks who can do general construction work, paint, cleanup (inside and out), serve lunch/refreshments, and maybe pickup supplies as needed. Although we hope to get our area businesses to donate the materials needed, we still need any monetary gifts that can be given too. If you would like to help, please contact us.
